To stay healthy or to improve health we need to aim for over 150 minutes of physical activity each week!
Your activity should be a mix of cardiovascular exercise (such as walking, cycling or swimming) and strength exercises (such as resistance machines in gyms or body weight exercises like press ups and squats).
Being active helps to reduce your risk of disease as well as helping you to be fit for different activities you may want to get involved in.
Through activity you can also improve your self-esteem, feel more energised and make new friends as activity is often a social past time!
